Hello everybody I’m looking to share a place with 2-3 other people in Columbus, OH around Sept- Nov 2010. I’m just looking for people with a verifiable legitimate and legal income (mine will be available as well), get along well with others, cat friendly, and responsible, ( pay bills on time and pick up when necessary). I’m a 32 year old transguy and I work at a Starbucks fulltime and Im trying to complete my associate’s of applied science for surgical technology at Columbus State Community College. I’ve lived in and around the Columbus area for about 10 years now and plan on staying here for a while longer. I don’t care about someone’s race, religion, gender expression or identity, sexual orientation, ect.. I really don’t. I only care if you are honest, respectful, and fairly easy going. If you are familiar with the area I’m looking into the north campus/Clintonville area, which I love. Please email if you or anyone you know is interested in this offer. Further details can be discussed through email or phone, which I will give out privately. Also, if anyone has advice on tweaking this ad to make it more clear or catchy, please let me know. Thanks everyone.

The Gender Public Advocacy Coalition is pleased to announce the release of its 2008 GENIUS Survey in partnership with Ernst & Young. GenderPAC works to ensure that classrooms, communities and workplaces are safe for everyone to learn, grow and succeed.

The Gender Equality National Index for Universities & Schools (GENIUS), GenderPAC’s most recent effort to end discrimination and promote awareness, encourages colleges and universities to recognize the benefits of a GenderSAFE campus - supportive equitable and protective for all students. Choosing to participate in GENUIS sends a strong public statement that bullying or discriminating based on the race, sex or gender of a student, faculty, or staff member is not tolerated at your institution

Fill out the survey at: www.gpac.org/GENIUS2008survey, and make sure that we have data for as many schools as possible. Your voice will help us continue to work towards a safe and welcoming environment for every student

It's that time of year again ladies, gentlemen and everybody inbetween!

It's time for UMass Amherst Queerfest!

If you are a musical performer interested in showcasing your talents to a large university during a free outdoor day of queer wonderful-ness in April, or know of performers who would be interested please email me at umassqueerfest@yahoo.com or mail a press kit to:

Pride Alliance
413B Student Union
University of Massachusetts
Amherst MA 01003

Unfortunately, we will not consider bands/singers/performers who do not submit some form of press kit. It doesn't need to be professional quality, but something so we know who you are and what you have to offer Queerfest. We are looking for musical talents of all types and styles. Being a queer artist is not a requirement, but preferred. Being a queer-friendly ally is an absolute must. We have a small budget, but can provide artists with some reimbursement.

Thank you so much for your help!
~Morganne Ray
President of the UMass Pride Alliance

So in talking to some kink people in Burlington VT, I discovered there is a distinct need not being widely met within the either the trans or kink community. There ought to be bridges between the two communities, so I'm endeavoring to start to fix that.

The group hopes to open some dialogue in a safe and respectful environment about trans specific issues/joys within kink and leather relationships/lifestyles/encounters etc. It is for both trans-identified people and the SOFFAs who love us.

Given the nature of the discussion, it's 18+, I apologize to those shy of the age limit. Sexuality doesn't magically appear at age 18, I know, but adhereing to legal limits is in the best interest of the group. You'll be 18 soon enough.

Hey everyone...

I'm a femme dating a pre-everything FTM who is in the closet to everyone except for me. Previously I was in a long-term relationship with another FTM who was out but pre-everything. My partner now is stone, and that's a new experience for me. Are any of your partners stone also? How is that for you?

I live in Worcester, MA right now, but I am moving to St. Louis, MO in three weeks, so if anyone's from around there, drop me a line... :)

Is anyone going to the Philly Trans Conference this coming weekend?   I recently broke up with my bf, but am still interested in trans issues.  I just don't want to be the only single SOFFA there.  Is anyone going who wants company?

  Hi Everyone,

I'm writing a presentation for SOFFA's of FTM's at the Trans Health Conference in Philly in March and figured I'd ask for your input :)

Here are some basic topics I'm working on that I'd like your input about:

Where do I find a hunky FTM?
A discussion on cruising, flirting, meeting, and dating.

Being the jock strap
A discussion on how to be supportive to your transgender friends, family members, and lovers.

Now what? The nitty gritty sexual details
stones, cocksucking, touching your partner

Who am I now?
Reconciling your own identity presentation

Any other topics you can think of that would be important?

Thanks for your help :)

Hi! :) Just thought I would say hi and give a quick intro to myself. I'm 23 and my girlfriend has very recently said that she thinks she might be trans. I love her to death and support her all the way. But now I would just like to find someone in my position to talk to.

Is anyone still interested in this group?

i've noticed that this community doesn't have many postings. in fact none in the past few months. are there still folks out there that would like to keep this community going? i'm anticipating that i'll need some support in the upcoming months. if this isn't a good place for it, does anyone know of a community for soffas that isn't offensive? thanks.

Hello, All. I'm Eric, a female-bodied person living socially as male in Southern California. I work in LGBT student services. (For those who care, I am on testosterone.) Aside from making the world a little friendlier to differently gendered people, I'm also interested in metaphysics.

I'm involved in a project to help make university student housing a more pleasant experience for people whose gender expression is different from what's typically expected.
Right now, we're looking for accounts of gender variant students who are or have been in housing. Partners and/or advocates are also welcome to write what they observed of a gender variant student in university housing. The example story that I've included is my own, by the way. Cheers.

Subj: Call for Trans Students in Housing Narratives

∑ Below is an invitation to share experiences of trans students in Housing
∑ Submissions may be written by trans students or their advocates
∑ Seeking responses by July 7
∑ Email responses to Chad Wilson at chad@campuspride.net.

Ok, listen up all you queers! I need your help!

I'm writing this as a battle cry, and I don't care who finds out I wrote it.

I find out today that one of my regular phone sex clients helped write the proposed Anti Same-Sex Marriage Amendment, and he will be involved in all the ratification and support processes. This means that yours truly has an inside track to one of the sonovabitches trying to kill our civil rights, and, so far, he's actually listening to my arguments. But I need to be persuasive...I got under his skin this afternoon, and he said that he wanted to hear more. At least if I make him feel a little guilty, or stupid, or make him actually play Devil's Advocate, it'll be an itty-bitty win for us. Don't you think?

Ok, I need all your best arguments - court rulings, Constitutional rebuttals, obvious common sense, case studies, personal anecdotes, whatever you have, and I need them ASAP. Ask your friends, families, other LJ people, whatever. Pleeeease give me a hand!

Any ideas???
